LOOKING THROUGH THE LENS
Quite a few years ago I started my journey into photography. This was just after completing a few photographic holidays. From then on, I was just hooked on this new adventure.
I’d always had a keen interest in photography but didn’t know a thing about it. I learnt both studio and outside shots and the most intriguing was the darkroom work. It was amazing. I could work for hours in the darkroom.
I then started working in a few studios and gradually started my own business. I concentrated on portraits, and it really went quite well. To my amazement I gained my Licentiateship from the Royal Photographic Society, gained two portrait awards from Kodak and won competitions from the Master Photographers Association and the London Portrait Group. I was riding high; this was my new life.
The business lasted for 10 years. A great impact on my life. Unfortunately, there were a few personal reasons why I gave up my work, I really do regret this. A real regret. I carried on as a mother, worked in an office and life went on.
On Christmas Day 2023 I had a stroke and since then I’ve been getting life back together. Slowly and surely, I’ve been getting there. Many times, during my recovery I thought about photography and how much it means to me. Should get back into it. Could I?
There are a few problems as I’d always worked with film and an analogue camera. Now it’s different. I don’t know much about digital. This is on my agenda. First step forwards.
Now, to get myself onto the first step and indeed a glorious step, I’m exhibiting some of my previous and personal work. Going through my past images and creating this exhibition has given me a great sense of wellbeing and the urge to carry on.
I read a quote the other day, ‘Go to bed in a black and white world and wake up in a world full of colour.’ True but my black and white world led me to a new career in a world full of colour.
Eyes to me, sitter, the camera is on you.
Stroke didn’t get me!

KEITH KNOX
I paint in watercolours because I try to evoke the softness and blurred edges of the landscapes as I see them. My scenes are of the sea, rivers, land and sky - places I know and love, or those I imagine. The yachts and barges I paint emerge from a lifelong love of boats. My paintings have no hidden meanings - they are just views of the world and the colours and shapes it gives us.

LOVERS ROCKS
Hi! I'm Miranda and I absolutely love beautiful rocks. I collected my first stone on a trip to Aberystwyth Beach when I was four. 39 years later and my collection is still growing strong! We're talking everything from sand and pebbles, to fossils, carvings and hulking mineral specimens. When you consider the amount of time it took for them to form, one realises that there's something really magnificent and humbling about them.
I want to bring the wonder and beauty of rocks into your sacred spaces, so that you can have a truly ancient piece of the earth to study, admire and show off.
Lots of love
