DEPOSITS/PAYMENTS
Deposits are ‘per market’ not ‘per day’. If there is a 2-day market, only £25 is owed as a holding deposit. Bookings are complete once all balances are paid.
All markets are £75 per day unless otherwise specified.
*Please note that deposits are non-refundable from 2025, so bear this in mind when booking. This is an amendment to our terms and conditions (see below) Please note that if you don’t pay the deposit(s) or miss the balance due date, we will assume you no longer wish to trade with us.

FIRST TIME TRADERS
If you are a first-time trader, you are trading on a ‘trial basis’. After your first market with us, we will have a conversation at the end to ensure both parties are happy to continue.
CANCELLATIONS
DSP reserves the right to cancel a stall at their discretion. Should this occur, the trader will be issued a refund less the deposit of £25 per market.
Cancellation by the trader: (must be made in writing)
8 weeks before event 100%
Less than 8 weeks 75%
4 weeks before event 50%
Less than 4 weeks 25%
2 weeks before event 0%
In the event of a cancellation by the stall holder, the fee will be moved to the next market booked with DSP and/or applied to any balances due. If the stall holder chooses to no longer to trade with DSP, then refunds will be issued using the percentage chart above less the non-refundable deposit. If we can fill your stall after a cancellation, this does not constitute a refund.
CHILDREN/PARTNERS/FAMILY
Our markets are very family friendly.
However, as traders, we do not allow children. Having family present for set up and break down is acceptable, but they must leave by opening time and please only arrive 15 minutes before closing time.
If you need to have a partner/adult family member present, then this must be agreed with Daniel before the trading date. We have a limited number of chairs and our market is quite compact to make it easy for our customers to manoeuvre through the market.

WEATHER
In the event of severe weather conditions, DSP will assess the night before and then again in the morning. If the event must be cancelled, you will be contacted to confirm via WhatsApp. As per above, if for any reason adverse weather conditions happen while the event is taking place and we must close early, both instances will be classed as a ‘Force Majeure’ and out of our control. Therefore, no refunds will be given.

RESPONSIBILITIES
All traders/artists must hold valid Public Liability Insurance with cover for accidental damage. It is advisable for you to have your documents with you on the day. Proof of insurance must be emailed to: danielstocktonproductions@gmail.com
You will not be allowed to trade until this has been sent.
The trader/artist is liable for all costs resulting in damage to the venue, property and/or equipment.

CONFLICT OF INTEREST
Great care is taken in vetting submissions for our markets.
When possible, DSP will endeavour to ensure that there are not more than 2-3 stalls selling the same items to avoid any COI. Furthermore, we will always do our best to have them as far away as possible from each other. It is virtually impossible to sell the exact same products if they are handmade.
However, if we need to fill spaces for the greater good of the market and/or the business, then we may have an additional stall from time to time. You will be notified if this occurs.
Very important information for all stall holders regarding ‘ADDING’ items to your stall
As per your submission, you were asked to list what items you planned on selling, including prices.
If you are trading in art, for example, it is not appropriate or accepted to add or display any jewellery items that might also considered to be art.
You are either trading as a jeweller or an artist. Otherwise, this creates a COI for others. Of course, making jewellery is an art form, however, we need to be precise and clear on what each person is selling.
If you are unsure about items you want to sell or add, please reach out.
We reserve the right to ask for a stall holder to cease trading in certain items any anytime when a COI is posed.
TIME KEEPING
Lateness is not tolerated.
From February 2025, a 3 strike rule will be initiated and strictly adhered to. Alongside this will be a 15 minute grace period if you have contacted myself about running late. If you are going to be more than 15 minutes late, your stall will be cancelled and traders asked to spread out. I am keen to keep a clean and sharp aesthetic for our markets, and having an empty spot when opening is not a good look.
Please arrive with enough time to set up your stall ready to go for the opening time. If you are going to be late, a courtesy text or call will always be appreciated.
Do not ask to pack up and leave early. Early finishes will be decided collectively. If you need to leave your stall for a break or to use the facilities, please ask a neighbour to watch your stall.
Please do not bring anyone with you including children unless approved by Daniel Stockton. We need to have as much space as possible for our guests to move around the market with ease, especially those with prams.

BEHAVIOR
We have a zero-tolerance policy for any anti-social behaviour, bullying, drug taking or possession of weapons. Whilst consuming alcohol is permitted, we ask that you please drink responsibly.
HOUSING OF MERCHANDISE OVERNIGHT
During 2–3-day events, you are welcome to leave your merchandise/artwork locked inside of Life Cafe overnight.
When you originally submitted, you agreed to the following:
Brown & Green and Daniel Stockton Productions are not liable at any time for loss, theft, or damage of any degree by anyone including myself, member of staff, visiting patrons, children, animals, or any act of nature including weather.
Both parties (B&G/DSP) hosting the event will ensure that routine and appropriate checks will be made to ensure the security of the building and its contents.

DRIVING IN CRYSTAL PALACE PARK
Since the Crystal Palace Trust have taken over the running of the park, there have been some rules put in place to ensure the safety of everyone who uses the park.
At no time on any given day can a vehicle be driven into the park between the hours of 9am-5pm. This is considered ‘peak’ time. ‘Off-peak’ refers to hours outside that time frame.
We are no longer allowed to drive up to the bridge. We can go straight and turn left to head up to the main goods entrance of the building. You must use your hazards and drive no faster than 2-3 mph. Your merchandise can be dropped off outside the lift and then return your car to your desired parking destination. Then return to the lift to load your goods.
Please note the hours of park closing times when entering, or you can check on the Crystal Palace Park Trust's website: crystalpalaceparktrust.org

ELECTRICAL/PAT TESTING
We understand that you may need a charger from time to time. As our venue has limited electrical outlets, it is advisable to bring a portable charger for items such as mobile phones and card readers. No one is allowed to plug anything into the electrical outlets without permission including extension leads. If permission is granted, any electrical items must be PAT tested. For more information on how to get your items PAT tested, please visit:
